Garlanded with sweet flowers
My love does go out to thee,
I send them with showers
Of sheerest caring to thee.
We--that is, my co-conspiritor(s) and I--have a confession to make. The letter, bouquet, and riddle(s) you received were our doing. We are mischievous vixens, yes, we admit. We plead love as our defense--we have great affection for you and all the other Solacium ladies and gentlemen, and we wanted to make your Valentine's Day (and our own, of course) a little more interesting. And, of course, to confess the feelings that sleep in the breast of many a fangirl. We regret to announce, however, that one of us, at least (and possibly more of us), is about as far from feminine as it is possible to be, and our courage is, in general, not at all feeble. Our sentiments, however, were heartfelt, though perhaps a bit exaggerated.
Because this was a collaborative effort, we feel the need to give credit where credit is due.cailamaia
came up with the original idea for this gesture; researched the meanings of flowers; helped to choose the flowers to be used; found the verse used above and in the original letter; sent the original letter from an unknown address; and kept her co-conspiritor(s) in a state of perpetual excitement.yunami
had the idea to pull a prank for Valentine's Day; found the flowers used; arranged the bouquet; composed about 80% of the original letter; kept obsessive track of project status; and provided the naive exuberance that her co-conspiritor(s) bore very well, all in all.
One of the "reigning Co-Conspiritors" you mentioned in your original journal entry may or may not have been involved in this project. If and when she chooses to reveal herself, she may claim credit for her part in the triad. We love her and want to say "thank you!" for all of the things she may or may not have done for us, and add that we greatly appreciated her hypothetical involvement.
We sincerely hope that you enjoyed our gifts, and believe that if you were even half as amused by this as we were, then we have accomplished what we set out to do.
With much love and warm regard,
--Two Ladies Much Moved By Your Grace
