I am going to take a page from my friends list and do this before I chew through something in frustration.

Dear irresponsible and overly-aggressive driver:

Not once, not twice, but three times in the past month, you've cut me off while I was riding my motorcycle home from WEI. How do I know it's always you? You're the only person I've seen to drive an enormous, expensive, fuel-guzzling, poor mileage monstrosity of a Sports Utility Vehicle in the city... of a colony. You fool.

If I happen to cross paths with you again, I will go home, retrieve the shotels I saved from Sandrock, track you down and cut your obnoxious, obviously-compensating-for-failings-in-private-areas-of-your-life tank into manageable pieces and recyc them out the nearest airlock. And then I will tell my lover and my best friend that you scratched the paint on the bike they worked so hard to restore, and you will be sorry you bothered to get out of bed that morning.

With great annoyance and hoping never to see you again,
Quatre R. Winner

Jeez, there is one everywhere...

There are days when commuting with a Gundam seems like a good idea.

Take him down. I HATE that guy.

(Because even though it isn't the guy in my town, it's the spirit of the thing.)

There's always one in every good-sized community. They're a special breed, I think.
lavenderfrost From: lavenderfrost Date: March 29th, 2005 07:10 pm (UTC) (Link)
...those are some big shotels. o_O;; How are you gonna lift them? ^^;;

I think Mom and I deal with his doppleganger on my way to school and her way home in the afternoons/evenings. He tailgates us in his huge-ass SUV just about every day. >_@;;
billion_dlr_boy From: billion_dlr_boy Date: March 29th, 2005 07:20 pm (UTC) (Link)
Well, technically they aren't shotels anymore. I broke them down, tinkered with the parts a bit and turned one into something similar to an energy sword - which would do the recyc job nicely - and two normal, shorter blades. The rant didn't work if I had to explain all of that, though.

Cut him one Quatre, for our sakes as well as yours!

I think I'm stuck with daydreaming about recyc'ing the thing or stepping on him with Sandrock, but it certainly feels good to imagine.

You know, as much as I agree with you, it seems the only thing you can hope for (and avoid prison and/or lawsuits) is all that karma to go flooding back on the inconsiderate bungholes on the roads these days.

Stay safe, and continue to be wary.

*grins* They'd never know who did it. But you're right, I'd not actually do anything like that to the man, though if he does do it again, I will do something to protect myself and others from him in the future. Chopping his car up is not an option, but scaring the ever-loving god out of him is.

Ugh. SUVS. >_<

Give 'im hell, Quatre!

Ugh. SUVS. >_<

Eh, SUV's aren't evil.

Some people genuinely need them because their families are so huge, or they're always hauling stuff around. A friend of mine has 9 brothers and sisters - without SUV's and other huge vehicles, they'd have been sunk when she was growing up.

SUV's are like most almost everything else - it's the people that misuse them that suck. >_<;;

Unfortunately, these people are increasing in number. ~_~

I rather want to step on it with Sandrock, to be truthful, but since that's not an option, I have to take another route.

Especially since they see my High School parking decal and assume it's okay to cut off and piss off the teenage driver!

..The last person I'd want to piss off is a teenaged drive. That's asking for trouble right there.
sukino From: sukino Date: March 29th, 2005 08:05 pm (UTC) (Link)
I wish you did still have Sandrock so you could stomp on him. >:D

What gets to me the most are those who cut you off and then move like snails in front of you. *hiss* Makes me want to just get out of the car and start screaming and ranting at them. XD
billion_dlr_boy From: billion_dlr_boy Date: March 29th, 2005 08:14 pm (UTC) (Link)
Those types generally do that just to be hateful. All you can do is take a deep breath and repeat silently to yourself a few times that ramming their vehicle is NOT a good idea, and hope it gets you through the commute. I've not had that happen yet, so the jury's still out on whether this fellow truly is an ass, or just that self-centered and oblivious.
darthanne From: darthanne Date: March 29th, 2005 09:07 pm (UTC) (Link)
Wrong of me, I know, but I almost hope he does do it again. Just to see his reaction when he's told, and shown, in no uncertain terms where to go.

*Hugs you*

Well, if it happens, I'll be sure to fill everyone in. They can live vicariously through me.

You have more faith in the good sense of humanity than I do right now. :-p
ravensilver From: ravensilver Date: March 29th, 2005 11:28 pm (UTC) (Link)
Unfortunately, I know *exactly* what that's like. I often drive long distances across the country roads here and there are drivers the like of which you wouldn't believe. I keep fantasizing that if they end up having an accident right in front of me, that I'd get out and give them a few slaps or two just to let them know that it all happened because of *their* stupidity, before I pull them out of the wrecked car.

I don't know if you have speed limits on the colony... we do, too, but it's still a good 60 mph (100 kmh) just for the country roads. Highways are usually limit free. So you end up doing 110 to 120 kmh on a small road. And that's *still* not fast enough for some people. If I didn't have such a calm nature, I would have mounted a blast gun on the top of my car years ago... (I wish).

If you *do* run up against this person again, let us know how it comes out. Just so that we "normal" drivers can get a touch of satisfaction.

Drive safely!
billion_dlr_boy From: billion_dlr_boy Date: March 30th, 2005 04:12 pm (UTC) (Link)
We do have limits, yes, but I've been to plenty of places dirtside that don't have them. I admit I'm a speed freak, but I know better than to speed in a populated area. I learned that lesson the hard way, and it left scars.

Do what my mom does: start assigning point values. Pretend you're in an arcade game and, to every person who pisses you off, decide the number of points you'd get if you ran them off the road. It's a great stress reliever.

Note: This works best if you remember that you're not allowed to ACTUALLY cause accidents.</font>
billion_dlr_boy From: billion_dlr_boy Date: March 30th, 2005 04:26 pm (UTC) (Link)
Cathy taught me her point system. It also involves taking out pedestrians with a well-timed open door as you drive past.

Thank GOD you ONLY have ONE guy that does that to you...

*adds car # 27 to her list of people with negative karma*

Unfortnatuly they are not all SUV's but the mostly all have some kind of american flag and i know ONE guy does it because of the " I don't even think Straight" sticker on my car...But I will get him * evil laugh* ... or someone will...ANYWHo... get his plate and report him or something... or find out where he lives and leave him that lovely message...or something more polite, and ask him to stop beign so recklass... and you knwo those things roll well right?
billion_dlr_boy From: billion_dlr_boy Date: March 30th, 2005 04:30 pm (UTC) (Link)
Oh, there's more than one. This one just sticks out because of his obnoxious vehicle. Sometimes having a truck that attracts attention isn't a good thing.
aetas_lupus From: aetas_lupus Date: March 30th, 2005 12:43 pm (UTC) (Link)
Here's what I would do, pretend to be a cop then pull the guy over, impound the suv in question and then use whatever you have in question after you tow it off. *evil laugh*

I've had more than my share of issues with those in law enforcement. I don't think impersonating an officer would be a good idea at this point.

Just so you know, I sympathise - empathise, even - completely. I drive to work early in the morning on Sundays, on a major multi-lane interstate. Surviving not only Atlanta drivers (which are bad enough) but Sunday drivers as well is a weekly test in patience.

Go for it. Someone with that much of a compensation issue deserves to be cut down a few notches.

Personally, I'd consider borrowing Wing's beam canon and using it instead of the horn the next time you cross paths.

*cue Homer Simpson voice* mmmmmm Beam Canon

Nothing says Road Rage like a former Gundam pilot with a beam canon pointed at the offending vehicle. MUAHAHAHAHAHA *cough*

*waves* Hi all!! I've been lurking for a little bit and I think I should say hello. Quatre I hope you don't mind if I continue to follow along. ^_^
ginger_elf From: ginger_elf Date: April 1st, 2005 10:14 am (UTC) (Link)
Sunday drivers and SUVs are one thing. What do you do when a tanker truck does it?
billion_dlr_boy From: billion_dlr_boy Date: April 1st, 2005 04:14 pm (UTC) (Link)
The same thing. Dead is dead, no matter if it's from that Sunday driver cutting you off, or a tanker full of fuel. The end result is the same.
